I-40 East

This is the longest and most boring road. Starts from Barstow, CA all the way to North Carolina. I've seen almost every state license plate on this road. 

We got to Albuquerque around 8pm, checked into Route 66 Casino & Hotel, ate and played a few hands of craps. I rolled and won Uncle Johnny $113. That should cover maybe what I lost him the night before. 

Left again this morning at 7:30am. Headed East on I-40. Stopped in Tucumcari,NM off Route 66 for breakfast. I drove from there into Texas. We just stopped at a rest stop in Grey County. Johnny's driving now. Not much to see out here in the middle of nowhere!

We are at the North end of Texas headed to Oklahoma. He said we're turning South right before OKL City. 

Speed limit is 75mph and Texas has signs that say the Left lane is to be used ONLY for passing. You think that would work in CA?

Landscape is green, hay and maybe other agriculture around. Nothing too exciting. 

Johnny is not afraid of tailing a big rig to get them out of the way! (Mom - don't look!)

That's about it for now. Not too much to report. It's been a good trip. Long & tiring being in the car so much.
